Lean by Isley Lynn

“What nourishes me, destroys me.”

An ironic spin on one of the great failure embracing quotes of all time by Nietzsche.

Congratulations Isley. Our daughter, the real writer in the family, celebrates the opening of her major play in the West End of London. Titled ‘Lean’ it explores the dynamics in a disfunctional relationship played out over a dysfunctional diet. The man is killing himself with anorexia and the woman is trying to stop him by eating only what he eats (so she goes down with him). Rather than shunning his failure, she embraces it to work not just for a salvation to his debilitating condition, but also to much deeper torments. An ‘if you can’t beat’em, join’em’ surrender tactic with emotionally stirring impact.

Break a leg!
