Last night was the season finale (in the USA) for Greys Anatomy (one of my wife’s favourites). Lead Actor Patrick Dempsey has attributed much of his success with this stellar series with his embrace of failure…
“I’m not afraid to fail even in public. It’s too easy to pretend you have it together, because no one does. The more you allow yourself to make mistakes, the better off you’re going to be. That’s what life is about. You’re going to get thrown off, and you just need to get back on.”
That’s the healthy prescription from an interview a while back with Parade magazine which provides a vibrant example of him wiping out on his Harley as well as more person set backs in his life losing his father and coping with dyslexia.
